MY50 M####

This was CTM’s first dip into the ocean scene. Teaming up with Fraser Yacht brokerage and Pen Dennis shipyard, CTM put together a 50m yacht design offering a disruption in the usual industry line up. Giving a somewhat unique tag of being all ‘Made in Great Britain’ the 5yr old design still looks fresh in what is a crowded MY 50+ market.

Project Overview

The customer, already a yacht owner was looking for something intrinsically ‘him’. A young middle eastern financial business man, working predominantly in the west. The customer was looking for a yacht which offered relaxation to himself and his inner circle whilst allowing potential business entertainment and guests.

 
 

Design

The design displayed subtle touches of the owners provenance without displaying overtly a display of cultural heritage. The exterior and interior does not shy away from being  a modern and sharp masculine design. Open plan configurations in lounge areas are supported by spacious private cabins. The main atrium hallway with spiralling stairway has a gorgeous touch with an installation of shoaling fish by Scabetti founder Dom Bromley, a college compatriot of Robin’s.

Outcome

The design meets it’s objectives set forth by a collusion of potential owner and a Brit Pack of design, project management and manufacture. In a some what disruptive financial landscape CTM’s concept could well be the tonic a future yacht owner is looking for.
